When do each of these happen ? .... I'm a bit confused by the description.

How clean are your oil filters - including the one in the bottom of the oil tank?

The light is linked to a pressure sensor, which is related to the oil level, but not solely. Clearly if there ins't enough oil in the system the pressure can't rise enough to trigger the sensor.

Since you've got plenty oil and the light goes off with a blip I'd suspect a failing sensor, but I'd be tempted to check the wiring 1st and check the filters like D-Rider says.

I think that it is more likely that the sensor is faulty than the oil pressure is low. So replace and clean filters and if not resolved, swap out or replace the sensor asap. Fail safe wiring on the sensor probably has the light stay on if it is broken. If that doesn't work then I think its check the oil pump next...

Think I'd check the pump right away - you can have plenty oil in the sump but if it's not getting where it needs to be that could get expensive!

A sensor surely usually works or it doesn't - and the fact that blipping the throttle makes the light go out shows that the sensor IS working and telling you that the pressure not the quantity is wrong!

if it's the pump,as the oil gets to temperature and thinner the light will come on and stay on at any revs.

today on way too work i had no light then light on constant.

watched as i started up and oil drained but after starting later it did not drain from the tube.

that i think is a problem with the pump???

not what i need as i'm spending on the falco getting that ready for the road, bloody aprilia :smt013

No, they do that from what I remember - it's something to do with the position the oil pump stops - so different times you see a different thing - hence the rather complicated procedure for checking the oil level.

I'm not saying your pump is certainly OK but it's too soon to conclude it isn't.

you need to get a oil pressure check done.then you know where your going.

the light only comes on when the oil heats up and thins out. i have a tub of fully syn and used that too top up. doing a full oil change to semi and will go thicker
