At last I have bought one

#1 Post by Finallyat57igetone » Sun Jul 19, 2020 8:43 pm

Hi to you all , just bought my first Ducati 1200 multi 2010 ! I am 6’2” and weather I slide the screen up or leave it down my head gets buffeted ! With previous bikes I have gone smaller so the wind hits you in the chest , but a mate says to get a MRI spoiler to fit on my screen and that will solve the problem ! Not convinced, any advice much appreciated
Thanks Neil

Good work Neil, lovely bike.

I have not tried those spoilers but I would worry that they would be noisy.

I had a similar issue to you in the past. On my R1200RT, with the screen fully up, it blocked so much wind it kind of caused a vacuum, making my head wobble, a lot. I drilled the screen in a few places and it seemed to reduce the pressure / change the air flow, so much so the buffeting stopped. Perhaps you could buy a second hand screen and experiment?
