My exhaust is welded onto the pipe but it is broken further up on the exhaust not the pipe and I want to know if I can fix it myself or it needs to go to the garage.

Some images would give more of a clue.
When you say zorst do you mean end can or header pipe?

Pictures would help, but it sounds like you need the services of a welder. Is it a clean break (i.e. broken all the way round) or is it just a split in the metal? And what caused it (if you know, of course)?

Clean break all the way around and I would add a picture but I don’t know how.
I think it happened when I caught it with my foot while using the kick start.

For an exhaust to break all the way round the end can normally means it's as rotten as a pear. What material is the end can made of? Is it chromed steel? And how many miles has the bike done? You might be able to put a band around it and hold it with clamps but it will only ever be a short term fix. I think you're looking at a new exhaust - sorry...

If you can get a welder/fabricator to look at it then you will find out if its repairable, if not then look for a similar bike being broken

A shiny new complete exhaust is only 30 - 40 pounds on Ebay (if you are in the UK). Might be easier just to buy one.
