Best motorcycle spark plugs question

Hi all, I'm buying new spark plugs for my Hypermotard and the online parts finder lists the following:
Spark plug 1: NGK DCPR8E
Spark plug 2: NGK DCPR8EIX
I'm a little confused. Does this mean a different plug for each cylinder? (I'm thinking one runs hotter than the other, so that might make a difference) or is it just a case of 'Here's two options, a regular and an Iridium' pick which type you want to run?
Ta, Ben

The number 8 denotes the ' heat' range, eg 7 or 9 would be hotter or cooler, not sure if a lower number is the cooler or hotter.
I would go for the iridium, longer working life, most iridium plugs have 3 prongs pointing to the electrode as opposed to single on regular plugs.
Iridiums are a bit pricier though

The rear cylinder on Ducatis normally runs hotter, so the Iridium plug may be specified for the rear cylinder?

Not quite true. Iridium plugs have a very fine Iridium alloy centre electrode and a single side/ground electrode. I have Irdium plugs in all my bikes. Multiple side/ground electrode spark plugs are not Iridium.

So my iridium plugs with 3 prongs ,with ND Iridium on the box are imposters?

Probably -I've never seen an Iridium with multi ground electrodes. Does it say Iridium or Platinum on the box? Post up the pic of the box with the plug number and if I'm wrong - then I'll apologise. BTW - if by ND you mean Nippon Denso:
