Not a problem I have but I've seen it discussed on here - I don't know if this is true but someone just posted on Facebook...

I only use shell V-power in mine. Maybe it's snake oil but it certainly isn't any worse for it and for the cost per tank (£1-ish) I'll take that all day.

There's plenty of vids on YouTube, with results to suggest it has plenty of advantages.

I can't remember which forum I read that somebody managed to shrink the tank back to normal size by leaving it dried out for a few months..

Would running super unleaded / v-power reverse the damage?

Don't use the European E10 fuel anyway, I accidentally filled mine up with it in france thinking it was super unleaded (turns out it was 95 ron biofuel) and my bike ran like a pig till the next fill up.

My friends all pointed out that in reality it won't make any difference to my bike, at which point I asked "then why did this conversation start with me saying, what the hell is that E10 stuff, my bike has been running like crap since we fuelled up"

My tank has always been a big expanded, I just find that when I fit it to do the front up first loosely, then bolt the rear bracket to the tank loosely, then bolt the bracket to the sub-frame and do it all up.

No this fuel will not reverse the damage.

But it is the way to go with the plastic tanks

Ah well. As long as it stops make it any worse.. at least mine still fits (just about!)

It seems vpower (or nitro as it is now known) does contain ethanol, but perhaps only up to 5%.

Is it just the 10% stuff we have to worry about?

I'd worry about any percentage of content, the damage would take longer with 5% as opposed to 10%, but it will occur.
