Not sure if this has been posted before, but came across this recently, thought it might be useful for those who have easy access to a compressor.

Don't know why its not a direct link, copy and pasting into Google will do it.

Just for reference, here's the thread of the last time we discussed soda blasting (including the link BG put up of it being discussed on another forum):
https://www.ridersite.com/viewtopic.ph ... light=soda

I think the consensus then was that it might not be that effective and the cost of the equipment and blasting medium was high.

I think the links Maz has posted address the cost of equipment (if you already have a compressor) and the results shown in the pictures on his thread look very good.
Whether the cost of the blasting medium is an issue I've no idea.

Thanks for the helpful links Maz - they may have shifted the consensus a bit.

From everything I've read, blasting of any type requires a compressor which is able to deliver large volumes of air consistently. I believe that you would be wasting your time with a small DIY/hobby compressor. You need something with a LOT more grunt than (say) an Aldi or Lidl item, probably of an order of magnitude 5-10 times more powerful, in fact.

That's all - carry on... :smt003

But unfortunately I cannot take any video seriously that is presented to me by a guy in a beanie hat called Waz...

So a Sullair 130cfm 4 tool Compressor might be overkill? :smt003

I'd say you've got more than enough grunt AND you know it... :smt003
