Evnin all.
Has anyone had, or know anyone who has any experience with these ignition systems? They talk the talk, and the theory seems sound to me.. But without first hand info, I'm a little dubious as to give it a go. I've e-mailed them asking for a price, so a lot of it will be down to that..lol.

Very interesting - they certainly do talk the talk. But why is their website so basic? No details of fitments or prices. I've heard of MSD ignition systems, who tend to be regarded as market leaders, and they refer to them (albeit didmissively) in their blurb.
Be very interested to hear what they have to say for themselves.

Once I found the proper website (
http://www.c5ignitions.com/ ) and exchanged e-mails with a chap from C5, I've gone and bought one. So we'll see what happens eh.

I rolled one of those things - I'm hardly likely to forget them.
I had a look at the ignitions website - stuff looks good but rather spendy !
.... that said, I've just seen a set of rather special carbs for my 400/4 that I'm debating whether to get .... they aren't cheap either.

please excuse my ingorance, but why does the falc run 2 plugs per head ?
Is that multi spark ?

For better combustion than would be achieved with a single plug ....
though some might say that's only necessary through poor combustion chamber design

Somewhere between wasted spark and multi spark then !

Not entirely. The twin plug idea is better on larger cylinders and gives a more efficient burn.
'Wasted spark' is when two or more plugs are triggered at the same time, but only one of them will be on the combustion cycle. For instance, on a twin cylinder bike, one pot will be on the combustion cycle while the other side will be on the exhaust/intake cycle. The trigger for the coils will pass once per revolution setting both plugs off at the same time.
Multi spark is when the plug is triggered as normal, but fires more than one spark, thus creating a more efficient burn.
Are you asleep yet?

Good explanation, thanks !
