Well, while I'm waiting for funds to accumulate and parts to arrive, I thought I'd dig out the next project.

Looking a tad sorry for herself at the moment, but once I've worked some magic, she should be back to her roaring best soon enough. :smt004

Try not to get too excited just yet though. The 6T will be the first to finish. :smt002

Now I do want to have a play on that when it's fixed up .... be interesting to have a look while it's being done - if I can ever find the time to get across!

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

They're good bikes, and this one will be again soon enough. Motorworks, yep, know them well. Also a place called Motobins who do BMW spares. Sit still.. Why? There's so much to do! :smt003

Ahh.. I see. K100 and R100 together.. In the third shot, there are three Beemers in shot. The R100 in the foreground and two K100's behind.. Albeit under a tarp, they're there.. :smt003

Since I've been having problems with SHITE after-market components for the 6T, I thought I'd drag the old beast out for a tinker.

After a bit of tinkering, fresh fuel and a boost.. She fired into life after not much effort. Not bad considering she's been laid up for the best part of 11 years!!

A few issues to sort out. Major one being the gearbox not wanting to select any gears. I suspect a stuck selector mechanism, but will know more once I crack it open for a look. The starter motor could also do with new brushes as these go crap after a while.

A new battery has been purchased (£55 for a Varta 30Ah. not bad). Front brakes are binding, fork seals need doing and a lick of paint is needed here n' there. Other than that. She's good to go.

You remind me of the bloke that I used to live next door to in London, he's in Sydney now and has BMW's coming out of his arse. His last purchase looked like it had been in Nagasaki when the bomb went off, but he reckons with a bit of spit and polish it'll be fine.

I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that you BMW fetish blokes are all a bit mental!
