I could do with some recommendations for reading matter, please. I'm about to start on my BMW K100 projects (got 2 of them). All the bikes I've worked on in the past had carburettors, and the Fut is dealt with at Aprilia Performance.

These K100s have an analogue fuel injection system - Bosch Jetronic LE. I'd like to try to comprehend it a little better before I dive in; the Haynes & Clymer manuals have some information, but I really would prefer to get to grips with the whys and wherefores in advance - get an overview of EFI systems, especially these early ones, to help me grasp what is - or isn't - going on.

Any recommendations for books/manuals on the subject, please?

That looks pretty useful, Curt, thanks. Someone sent me this text description of the system http://opel-scan.ru/files/Bosch_LE_Jetronic.pdf ; these two items should help get me at least part way there.

If you haven't already looked then i suggest you can also try the 'Motorcycle Fuel Systems Techbook' which is a Haynes book but it covers all the systems from carb to injection, airbox to exhaust.
