:smt018 Whoa, whoa, Guys, Dont lets us fall out over this , otherwise I feel guilty for asking for some help, I appreciate the fact that people volunteer help and o.k. if its not right then if another person is more experienced then let him put his opinion on record, (perhaps a little less bluntly) I dont want any falling out!! :smt008 :smt008 lets make up. p.s. Today I tried all the plugs in my other bikes H.T. leads and the are o.k. coils o.k. H.T. leads o.k. reassembled bike and fired up and yes No. 2 pot is still cold. But that seems to tie in with the carb that feeds it as that was the one that was at one time flooding, so my next job is to take off the carbs and investigate, and they are going to be a bugger to get off there is just no room to work on. :smt017

Dont envy you :smt005 :smt005

Cant picture the carbs on the bike tbh. I foresee plenty of swearing and throwing of screwdrivers at innocent imanimate objects.. If it's been sat it's possible the needle has managed to gum / rust / fur itself in place, Similarly if the bike was laid up with empty carbs, the float would have dropped in the float chamber and done the same thing, with the float not rising it'd allow it to flood readily. Yup, looks like you'll be stripping her down..

Hehehe.. Dont you just love bikes that've been laid up!

" JD!? DOWN A CARB!?! @*&!*@!! "

He's also one of the best spanner chuckers you'll find frequenting the forums and one of the most helpful too.
That's my retirement fund sorted!

I'm printing up the grandstand tickets for when Trumpeteer and TwinNut have their first "minor tiff".

..... I'll introduce it as the first pay-per-view thread on the forum :smt003 :smt003

Sorry you got angry :smt020

Fed up with seeing people give bad/sometimes dangerous advice on forums.

"A little knowledge is dangerous"

I was also supporting a site member I have known of for some time. With good not invalid advice (it may help if you qualify your "guesses" with "in my limited experience" then people will be able to evaluate your expertise.

In response to your FOAD :smt008 my arse :smt015

Seriously tho......dont confuse enthusiasm with ability.
:smt018

BTW I really didnt mean to offend

a little knowledge is dangerous - a little politeness is often useful

I have never made any comment about my ability with a spanner, same way as you have made no comment about your ability with tact or diplomacy - fuck all surprise there then

no real offence intended by the way
