I read something recently about the exact same problem on an 800, when they had they grips turned up hotter than previously.(I can't remember exactly, as it was one of those articles that I wasn't particularly directly interested in, and was just scanning through). I think they used GT 85 and it cured the problem for them, but it was at the end of the test, so not sure how it worked long term.
Strangely my initial experience of GT85 was when I had my double glazing replaced last year and the fitters recomended it as the only stuff they would ever use to clean and protect the wood grain UPVC !?!
My responce was that I had plenty of WD40, would that do?
They said no it's GT85 only.
This is probably complete bollox, but it did work on the window frames.
Now, I wonder if KY jelly will work on the door locks?
Try it before you scap them.
Hot Throttle....
