Evoluzione tail tidy

#1 Post by greybika » Thu Jul 14, 2011 3:13 pm

Hi, I've seen one of these on fleabay and wondered if any one has any experiences of fitting them.

I've checked the company's site and there is no mention of relocating the number plate light.
I'm concerned because I don't want to buy it and then find that there is extra expense involved and more importantly the drilling of loads of holes in my beautiful Falco (although the instructions do mention the need for one extra hole).

Any advice welcome :)

some LED number plate lights - end of problem

and btw - a number plate light is NOT a legal requirement... if fitted it must work but.....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Did you mean LED numberplate bolts?
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

Don't worry about the light, as Aladin says it only has to work if fitted, if it's not fitted, it's not a problem, it'll still pass an MoT.

IIRC the unit does come with a light and does need a hole to be drilled to fit it.

I ditched mine pretty quickly as the bulbs kept blowing, I've now got LED bolts.

Interestingly (or not) the light bowl in the kit is completely clear so when mounted displays a white light at the rear of the bike which is technically a MOT fail, although I never had a problem at the MOT (apart from the bulbs).
