screwdriver question

#1 Post by furygan man » Fri Jul 01, 2011 9:27 am

(on behalf of a work colleague)

does anyone know the name of a six pointed screwdriver, the star shaped ones, she needs to go into a DIY shop and ask for one, alternatively look on ebay

Thanks

I'd go with Torx as well, although I've never seen a actual "torx" screwdriver, she'll need to know the size to ask for T15 - T20 etc.....

I believe there's also a security Torx, with a hole up the middle of the bit.

rather than the actual tools which has a good selection of about 20-30 various heads you need another screwdriver head for the bits if that makes sense.
We had to get me some for work as the server's apparently use similar sizes to the VW Golf :smt059
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.

I've got a nice set of Torx screwdrivers. They came with the tool kit which was part of a laser cutting machine at my old works.. Thing is, the machines didn't have a single Torx fastener on them.. So they became mine by default :smt003
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.
