Speedaway Motorcycles - highly recommended

#1 Post by mangocrazy » Mon Feb 08, 2010 12:45 pm

I needed a few bits for the Falco as part of the mods I'm doing; I have a brand new late model RSV radial master cylinder ready to fit (£100 off eBay - bargain, seeing as the new price is about £270), but needed the reservoir and bracket to suit.

I trawled around various well known Aprilia parts sites, comparing prices. When I came to Speedaway I was pleasantly surprised how much cheaper their parts were than anyone else. A Brembo remote reservoir was priced anywhere between £16 and £20 at other sites; Speedaway had it listed at £12.52...

Anyway, I sorted out the bits I wanted, went through to the payment screen, entered my details and hit the payment button. Next thing I saw was an 'error' screen. So I went back and tried again, ensuring all fields were completed, and still got the same result. After failing 3 times I gave up and made a mental note to call them the next day (Monday).

I rang them up the next day and spoke to a very pleasant lady who sympathised, took my name and telephone number and promised to look into it and call me back. Having had similar dealings with other companies I was prepared for a long wait at best and no reply at worst. To my great surprise, she called me back within half an hour and told me the IT people had found the error and fixed it and apologetically asked me to re-enter my order. I did so, and it all worked.

Better still, within the hour I had a further email telling me my parts had been dispatched. To be honest, it doesn't really get much better than this. Colour me very impressed...
