Sachs Rear Shock Wanted

Hi! all,
I'm after a Sachs Rear Shock to fit to my Falco if anyone has one. I have it on good authority (Griff) that this will fit and has a ride height adjuster which is my main reason for changing. If anyone has one at a reasonable price please let me know.
I also have a really good continental headlight from my 2005 Falco if anyone would care to buy or exchange if.
Have attached a pic of what I need.
Thanks
Ade

I think you'll be needing Dogbone and triangles for that model shock too.

I had this recommended to me by Griff who I think knows what he's talking about. It was the ride height adjusters that I really wanted.

Yep that one is OK if it is a Mille of 03 or before or Tuono of 05 or before - but you do need the linkages that go with it.

.... and Griff really does know his stuff - and he is right that the mille shock is a good upgrade - it just needs the linkages with it and to come from a bike of the right year - no contradiction at all from what the Griffer has advised.

Hi! all,
I think I may have solved my problem to my short legs. (only 5' 7")
Was very kindly recommended Daytona M-Star Boots.
Found a shop called Slick Bikers in Stafford doing really good prices on them( almost £100 off )
Many thanks guys
At last I should be able to touch the ground. This is their ad on Ebay. Make them an offer!

We had them in the 70s. They were called platform soles. Didn't know Daytona had started making them, though...

Mille White Shock Wanted

Hi! all,
under advise from several people I have decided to go for the Mille White Shock. Apparently this fits straight on.
I'm not sure exactly which Mille Shock will fit, so if anyone can help or has one, I would be very interested.
Sorry to all the people who offered Sachs Shocks.

Hi Ade
The Mille White Shock IS made by Sachs. It was fitted to the early Milles (98 to mid 01 I think) and uses the same linkages as the Falco.
Sometimes they "drop straight in" other times they don't. The schraeder valve (used to fill them with gas) does not have a lot of clearance to the rear sub-frame - sometimes none whatsoever. Where this is the case, some have carefully cut the valve back a bit and others have got someone to fit a flush-mount valve.

The Milles from 01 to 03 (and Tuonos to 05) used a Yellow spring Sachs shock but that doesn't use the same linkages as the Falco. The complete set of shock and linkages does "drop straight in" to the Falco.

The MilleRs used Ohlins shocks with linkage compatibility as above.

The RSVRs from 04 and Tuonos from 06 have different geometry and their shocks are not really compatible - though some have fitted them with the corresponding swingarm .... which again has many more issues than fitting the earlier Mille swingarm.
