WANTED: Scooter. W.H.Y?

#1 Post by Willopotomas » Sun Nov 10, 2013 9:44 pm

Am after a scooter. 50cc to 125cc. Must be sub £100. Runner or non, box of bits or all in one piece. Doesn't matter.

Why? Well, a few of us have decided it'll be a good idea to ride to the west coast of Wales and back by the cheapest means possible. This has become a sub 125cc 'thing', but also a sort of scooter/moped idea and preferably two-stoke engined. We're aiming to do it for the least amount possible as we're planning a trip to northern France in the summer, so funds will be stretched anyway. It's also an opportunity to help my mates lad get in to the fun of two-wheels. He'll be 16 next year, and has already bought himself a Suzuki ZR50. Most of his mates aren't interested in bikes, and we're aiming to get the next generation to set up. :smt003
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

Just parted with a 100cc stroker, bike not scooter - but good for you! Lot of fun to be had on small machines, it just takes a bit long to get where you're going.
The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.
