Norton ...... Aprilia Inside

#1 Post by D-Rider » Wed Apr 18, 2012 11:07 pm

Yes, Norton has turned to Aprilia to power their new racer.

Previous reports has stated that Norton would build their own V4 to build a bike for MotoGP.
Seems that their ambition is now a little more realistic - a racer for the TT using a Spondon frame (Spondon owned by the owner of Norton) and an Aprilia RSV4 engine.
Their objective this year is to finish a race with a 3year plan to become competitive.

It kooks like Norton are really getting somewhere which is bloody good news.
That Mr Garner chappie seems to have his head screwed on,Norton recently secured a £7.5 mill loan, enough to turn Norton into a true manufacturer
If I had that lucky scratch card my name would be on thier waiting list.

Funny looking at that picture, if you get NOOJ to hack off a couple of cylinders and squint a bit, (well a lot then).
It looks a bit like a fast Falco. (I did only say a bit!).

So I have to say well done Norton.

Hmm. If you all knew what I knew you wouldn't be singing their praises. Can't say much more, but I'll say they seem to be in a court room more than a workshop.
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

I don't care. It looks nice. :smt016
I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?
