Does anyone know the width of the swingarm on an RSV? also the diameter of the spindle?

Having just finished paying off for the Triumph, I quite like the idea of altering it somewhat.

The swingarm as shown on this Ad

would be ideal for my cunning plan just need a few measurements before I start planning in earnest (Im not intending to bid on it btw)

Many thanks!

I only have an '04 arm to measure but they fit in the same gap so they must be the same, right :smt002

Front where it mounts into the frame is @ 262mm wide but theres a top-hat style spacer in the left side that sticks out another 2-3mm
The spindle for the front is 20mm. ( a 20mm bit of conduit slid tightly in so this is the only size I'm exact on )
The gap between the rear arms of the swingarm is @258mm and the spindle is 25mm (or 26)

I cant measure exactly cos I was only using my 99p tape and shirley its better to have some measurements than none :smt003

Dunno why he doesn't just buy a Falco, with the dosh from the Triumph, he could do the mods as well :smt003

Naah, The Triumph is only worth about 1500 quid tops. It's got accident damage from the previous owner, hasnt got a service history as it hasnt seen a garage since ive had it and basically isnt that tidy. Well, it is, but not up to 'decent secondhand bike' standard. It's a nice bike, but not to the naked buyer's eye. (or a clothed buyer's eye)

It would make a decent trackday tool though!

Pay more for a Mille and you can do the mods yourself a bit at a time, I bet the Falco I've got isn't much slower than a Mille. Plus it'd suit you better being lower.

If the did a Falco with an RSV frame, I'd buy one. Oh they do! They call it the RSV... :smt002

Just done a proper measure of the TT's swingarm, Looks like the RSv swinger wont fit..Ne'er mind! back to the drawing board!

Have you thought about a CBR600 swinger? I'm sure its less than the RSV's

Errm..! AH! I errm... forgot! I was too keen on seeing if the RSv one'd fit to write down what the TT's was! Will have a shooftie tomorrow when it's light.

Had a quick look at the Honda one, I think there'd be problems with the chain hitting the arm to be honest. The RSV wouldve been more forgiving.
