Hi all, just returned from my North Wales Bikesafe course with some handy info.
Some of you may have read about the camera in a horse box in
MCN
This was confirmed as coming online from 21 March.
ALSO, we were told there will be plain clothed cops (including helmets) riding unmarked bikes with camera equipment for use in making prosecutions.
Now this doesn't makes North Wales look like a very attractive place to ride but in 7 years of dark visor, loud can riding I've never been pulled up.

So much for the concept that visibility brings compliance in areas of high risk.

We've had a plain clothes bike cop with a video camera in Dorset for years! Used to be a blackbird, not sure what it is now.

Lincolnshire Police have announced that they're running a Stealth speeding operation this Summer to catch bikes out
They are going to focus on A & B roads favoured by bikers (So Willingham, Louth, Horncastle, Cadwell etc. will be very risky places to play folks
They reckon they're after the high end speeders only & are going to use covert cameras & plain bikes & cars
Said it's been brought on by our 'friends' who post their exploits on U tube

Sharp as a razor m8. I knew there was a line there somewhere when I read BG's comment, priceless.

.... or maybe even the number plate of the horsebox .... now that would be sweet (although highly illegal)

..... but still display the numberplate of the tow vehicle ..... and it's just possible that it may not have been an entirely serious suggestion ....

Copy the license plate of a police bike, then go for a spirited ride.
Extra points if your bike looks similar to a police bike.
