KAWASAKI MOTORS UK ANNOUNCE 2008 TARMAC RACING LINE UP
Following months of closed season negotiations, Kawasaki Motors UK have formalised their full line up of teams representing the manufacturer as Official or Supported teams during what is expected to be a highly competitive 2008 season.

Four teams are categorised as Official Entries, these being the MSS Discovery Superbike team, Gearlink Kawasaki who will compete in British Supersport, the McAdoo Kawasaki team who will compete at road events including the North West 200 and 101st Isle of Man TT and Tim Blakemore racing undertaking another demanding season in the FIM drag racing championship.

Alongside these official entries, Kawasaki Motors UK have a number of supported teams, chief of which are Hawk Racing who return to the fray in the British Superbike Championship, Astro Racing competing in the Superstock class and Malcolm Ashley Racing (MAR) Racing in the Superbike Cup ."

"We are delighted to have four official teams in 2008 in tarmac based racing ranging from an expanded two man squad in BSB, the elevation of Gearlink Kawasaki to official status, a very strong representation at the TT and other road races as well as the greatest challenge yet mounted in domestic drag racing", commented Kawasaki Motors UK Racing Coordinator, Alex Brawn.

The teams themselves have been busy during the negotiation process making ready for championships which are generally recognised as being among the most competitive and professional in the world. Speaking on their behalf, Nick Morgan of MSS Discovery Kawasaki, explained the responsibility that all teams, whether official or supported, feel.

"Our first year as the official Kawasaki Motors UK team in BSB was a steep learning curve and accelerated our experience ten fold. Like Michael de Bidaph at Gearlink, Winston McAdoo and Tim Blakemore, we all understand the responsibility of being an official manufacturer entry in an important series and are focussed on delivering a professional image for Kawasaki fans, whatever form of racing they follow."
