And police in Lincolnshire have now been given permission to hide speed check vehicles for the first time in a bid to cut the number of biker deaths.

I like this typical throw away comment
"The number of people dying has got to stop this year."
How long before its an offence to die.

I think they should have also said if any of the vehicle drivers were over the drink limit.

The 18-year-old driver of the Citroen Saxo that was involved, and his two 19-year-old passengers were all uninjured.
Am I just applying stereotype or is anyone else suspicious of this?

It did stand out like a sore thumb despite trying not to generalise as much as the article. :smt012

Some of the comments ring true.

Some shite comments, but some decent bits in and amongst the lot.

Article? Brushed over it. Mostly massaging of figures and facts.

Or whether speed was actually a contributing factor? :smt017 Was there any speeding, was it the bikes, or the cars? Seems like an opportunity for bike-bashing, a bike has crashed so it must have been speeding.

Ahhh speed, anything over 0.1mph is speed, imo accidents are caused by bad decisions/observations/carelessness not speed. I'd go as far as to say 100% of all drivers/riders breaks the speed limit every day, yet it affects only a tiny minority overall.

Hidden cameras are the norm in OZ and NZ. They also put little camera signs on the road about 100m AFTER the camera to let you know what the bright flash from the bushes/ behind lamp post/out of open car boot/ etc was. nice of them :smt019
