Yes Pat - the white spring version fits the falco. Lots have fitted this. The recommendation is to have it serviced and at the same time have the schrader valve changed for one that is recessed. The stadard arrangement sometimes fowls on the subframe.

BTW £100 is a bit steep - they usually go for £30 - £50.

many thanks

'd have thought that £100 isn't to much for a shock, but not because i have too much monay!!

how much and where will i get it serviced? is it something that a competent mechanic could accomplish?

Many thanks

Patrick.

Hi Pat

Welcome to the board

I have one of these about to be sold, It is exactly as per the spec in the advert but I can vouch the following
Mileage 13545
Condition good
The schrader valve is not recessed as it fit in my (Red 2001 Falco = the fastest) without the need to adjust

Yours for £50 inc postage

Thanks for your advice all, i'm looking forward to a real improvement over standard!

Any advice on who will overhaul the unit for me?

Hope it's a good one.
From what I hear, you should notice an improvement.

Now just make sure that you don't look at ebay and you'll never run the risk of being disappointed about the price you paid.
The way to measure it is whether it gives you £70 worth of improvement. If you think it does .... result.

overhaul now!

I'm gonna send the unit to k-tech for a service, where they will fit the recessed scrader valve as required.

They can't re-valve this type of unit, but they mentioned that they can respring it to suit my weight. I'll tell them the truth about that and see how it all goes!

Good chaps at K-tech.

Took my Falco up there one Saturday morning (with prior arrangement) - they set up my Ohlins shock and my (standard Marzocchi) forks for the price of a drink.

When the shock needs servicing - or if I ever get the forks re-valved, that's where I'll be taking them.

Andy - Where is K-Tech. In the Midlands I presume. I might just call and see them when I bring Matt back to Warwick.

Hi Dave,

Yes they're in Coalville, Leicestershire - shouldn't be too much of a diversion for you.
It can be quite a nice run down the A447 from Coalville to Coventry

Details can be found on their website:
