Return of the pocket rockets?

I've seen two stories recently about new 400cc four-cylinder sportsbikes making a come back. In an age of 200bhp missiles, would you be tempted to grab a 400cc pocket rocket, or would your wrists, back and licence protest?

I had an RG250 back when they were "pocket rocket" genre, passed a lot of the 400 600Rr's in the twisties. Excellent p off factor.
Back and wrist ache, yeah but big smiles.
