OK so it's slightly unconventional-looking but this helmet features a head-up display and a built-in rear view camera, among other gadgets.

Its very ugly and what a price, they'll spot the mugs coming. BTW who would want a camera buried in their head if it hit the ground backwards?Ben wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 9:21 amOK so it's slightly unconventional-looking but this helmet features a head-up display and a built-in rear view camera, among other gadgets.

I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"
Re: Crosshelmet X1 - your thoughts?
Bit uglier than the Revu helmet that had similar features....
That one also never flew

My thoughts about this helmet.
Pros
It looks futuristic.
Cons
Too Expensive.
Not so reliable in case of a crash.
I would rather go with a 300$ helmet which is reliable and does not give me a heart attack due to high price.

It's a bit different, nothing wrong with that. I kinda like the 'space-helmet' feel to it.
I'd be concerned that it would be noisy though - the base is not on a 'plane' and that cutout could cause noisy turbulence, as will the bulky visor side-pods. (I've run Arai's the past 20 years... I know whereof I speak ;) ).
It does look like it wouldn't be 'deep' enough too.
