Government is going to introduce E10 petrol as the default from 2021.
Currently we're on E5. If you run a carb'd bike or pre 2008 model (or an Aprilia?

) you might need to switch to the premium fuel instead (as that's remaining E5, for now).

I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"

SP98 (98 octane) petrol in France is starting to get more difficult to find, by no means impossible but it's not guaranteed to be at every station. I'll use 95 on long runs, when I'm guaranteed to use a tank full, but definitely not if the bikes going to be off the road for for a bit. I'll not touch E10 under any circumstances.
My wife's 95 ZZR600 got it's carbs gunked up on 95 due to be layed up over winter. An expensive lesson to learn.

I was filling the scrambler today and noticed that it has a sticker for E0, E5 and E10 on the tank. So hopefully that means it will be ok... fingers crossed

I reckon BP might get a bit annoyed if we started setting up Dr Jekyll labs next to the pump every time we fuelled up?

Remember, when you are dead, you do not know you are dead. It is only painful for others.
The same applies when you are stupid.
