Finally - a totally dry day

#1 Post by Animal » Sun Dec 29, 2019 2:21 pm

Managed to get a couple of hours on the new (to me) K13.

I was convinced the lack of pull at big revs was down to stale fuel, and it turns out I was right... so all is good with the world.

Only, a tad worried about my licence now though, as a triple-digit cruising speed is far too easy.

Which 13 is it?
Oop. The S, nice!
They're all big speed cruisers. :D

Yep, K13S.
9 years old, 5k Miles, full main dealer history.

Apparently the previous owner was scared of it so left it in the garage!

How long is your commute, Paul? One of the guys I work with does about a 40 mile round trip each day on his bike, and he does it in some seriously shite weather, so respect to him. These days I just can't raise the enthusiasm unless the weather is reasonably decent. You need to find some dirt cheap four wheeled sacrifice metal with an MoT... :smt003

Hi Graham, my commute is a mere 5 miles each way, do able but I just hate riding in the rain, your pride and joy gets slowly trashed whilst you can't use all those frisky ponies under the seat.....
Trash the car, love the bike, oops car is trash but bike never will be 🤗

Glad you have got out on the K13 and all is well. Reets and I went 2 up down into 'that Lundin' on El Burro on Monday as it was a nice sunny day. Bit chilly mind - handguards going on today.

El Burro suffers a lack of pull at big revs .... but thats the way it is made, nowt can be done. Perfect fuelling right down to sub 2K through the city now the exhaust flap is all gone, really rather nice.

Triple digit cruising, good job thats only K's then else I would be getting worried ;D
