Hmm, not heard that one... Water in the float bowls was a common issue at one time and I suppose might have been temporarily resolved by a tap....

I found the power delivery on my Dad's R80 very flat and character less compared to my R90s. My three 1000's are pretty soft too but have quite a lot more grunt than an R80 and more flexibility than the R90s.

Vacuum gauges arrives today so I finally balanced the carbs. Wow what a difference. They were as I thought miles out. The bike is much smoother , crisper and feels more powerful. Looking forward to some minor upgrades and a trip to Spain in October.
