Wavering over new Kawasaki Verseys 1000

Like the write-up, like the new look of this bike and been and sat on one..........which was a big mistake.
I like the look of the GT touring model especially in Orange, and fancy taking a test drive.
The only problem is Im afraid I would like it so much it could be a decision I don't want to make as there is only room for 2 bikes in the shed which is already full.

Does look good and competitively priced. Get a bigger shed...

I looked at the Versys when I bought the Vstrom. The dealer is a Kwak and Suzi franchise. I liked the Versys comfort and it certainly had the in line four smooth delivery. I found it less agile and a little lacking in "soul". The Vstrom was much easier to handle at slow speed and it seemed to carry its weight much lower down, I found the Versys too top heavy.
No doubt the Versys will be a very comfy mile muncher and may suit a taller rider then me. It's great value and they are not moving many so good deals may be available.

Get a test ride and be prepared to get your wallet out.

The MT-09 Tracer is similar gets very good reviews and costs less, might be worth considering too. Not seen either in the flesh though.

If I was looking to swap bikes the MT-09 is the current model I fancy most.

Agree with Squid, from what I've read the MT09 seems to have a bit more fun factor.
But there is both a Versys and an MT09 at work and looking at the tyres, they both corner very well.
The Versys is ridden by a 6'6 rider, the MT by a 5'7, both swear theirs is the best ride .
