Something different

#1 Post by blinkey501 » Fri Dec 25, 2015 12:55 pm

Been looking at old school bikes for a while now?

Bought this yesterday for a resto project.

1987 750 5 valve genesis. Body work is tatty, but I am sure my painter can work his magic.

Looking at a Kenny replica paint job. And stripping the bike right back, having a slight frame repair, powder coat etc.

Going to be a long haul, but I hope it will turn out ok....

I had a go a while back on a bike I had wanted for ages when I was younger and couldn't believe how small it felt it did however make me realise I am definitely in need of modern brakes ... That said I have just had an hour looking at some lovely old school cafe racers
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Ha ha ha you promised me no more, you just can't resist can you. Really like them Jay had an FZ750 a good few years ago, engines are sweet but my brakes were wooden, wish I'd kept it.

I like bikes of that era, I've got a soft spot for early zxrs especially.

When you say kenny replica do you mean the yellow and black square deal?

I used to lust through the local bike shop window at an early model exup in pearl white, was very pretty.
