Sun is shining but which would you choose...

Spoiled for choice so a 100 miles of back roads in the sunshine, which would you choose and why. Prize given for the answer I find most entertaining.

The Honda Crv I can get a baby seat in that and use the picnic table as a changing table room to get my head down when he finally falls asleep the list just goes on.... Plus its the only time the Honda won't be so far behind on fuel economy

Yes the CRV is a fine thing and actually has better fuel economy than any of the bikes. Once Theo gets to 5 or six he could travel on the bike, my girls did, but I suspect given your record ... the CRV with wheels at every corner is the better proposition.

The falco. Would be tempted by the bm1000 as it looks interesting and I've never ridden a boxer before, but given its tiny headlight and my tendency to get lost when I'm not sure on a route, I'd likely extend the 100 miles into 200 miles and then ride well into the evening. Wouldn't fancy being caught out with that headlight!

Dalemac - The head light works but as you observed is for getting home at a push rather than night journeys. The red bike is most unlike any other boxer I've ridden nice and performance wise it'd run the Falco close up to 7K but the riding position is extreme so a hundred miles is pushing the limits of what my hands can take. 200 miles I'd certainly think more than twice about that.

Jeff - These day if it is raining when I set off the Honda is usually my choice also despite the fact that the RS fairing is that good one can weather a fair amount of drizzle etc. without the rider actually getting wet.

I would use all four of em !
I'd start with the cafe racer( the seat looks a bit minimumalist for a long ride)
Then soothe my arse cheeks on the rock steady RS,
Mad thrash on the falco,
Relaxing end of journey in the Honda listening to Classic FM/Clash/Stones/Sex Pistols/whatever, enjoying a fag and the four wheeled comforts

Actually that wouldn't be a bad idea I'd he fed up of driving it by then and could let you drive whilst I enjoyed a sherry in the passenger seat and ranted at radio 4

Let's get some threads going on:
  • * Oil
    * Tyres
    * The best colour
    * What's the best mod
    * etc etc
These things always get a deluge of discussion ....

.... mind you, they are so well worn that we can even predict who will say what ..... and I really can't face these debates yet again ...

I like the novelty of Keith's thread.

How come nobody has opted for the Mazda? .... I had one of them :smt004
..... I can probably predict who will be the first to suggest that I've answered my own question ....

I'd opt for a stretched limo with a jacuzzi and a couple of large-breasted six-foot redheads with a bucket of baby oil in the back.
