That looks bloody lovely, Keith. And I'll bet it goes and sounds a treat, as well.

If they don't know where they are going or what they are doing, we'll find a way by.....
I can't claim any credit for what it is. It's a little bit for show rather than go at the moment but has some nice touches and did seem crisp enough. I'm thinking to add maybe 10 - 15 BHP with the bits I have in stock and a little attitude.
The cans are from some pit bike, I'll dig out more detail for you flatlander but may be available sometime, as I'd prefer a kicked up long thin tapered mega. I'll probably put the 900cc barrels, gas flowed heads and 38mm Delorto's from the R90s on it this summer and see what's what over winter.

Oh and before any pendants get in, just so we have some compression we'll add the pistons too.

One thing I do notice about all the bikes from that era are how tall they are at the front. There's a massive cave/black hole between the bottom of the nose fairing and the top of the mudguard, and virtually every 70s/80s bike is like that. These days everything is the other way about - jacked up at the back and down on the nose at the front. Even what were hard-core race bikes look like cruisers by comparison to modern race bikes.
This isn't a criticism in any way, shape or form, just an observation.

Mango,
I have a twin shock frame with two inches cut out to raise the motor. Then somewhere I've a set of bottom yokes turned upside down and machined as top yokes so the I can drop the forks through them to raise the engine and lower the front. I'm considering using that with most of the bits from this to make the bike eligible for the VMCC BEARS series.
But that'll be for another year.....dreaming again

Somehow I thought that might not have escaped your beady eye...
Those mods should make it quite a weapon, I should imagine. BOTT always was one of my favourite series. I remember seeing people do things with Guzzis that I quite frankly thought were impossible...
