Triumph tiger

I didn't make it to Scotland on my bike last year has I would of liked.
The chap who said he would go let me down last minute and to be fair he is self employed and work commitments wouldn't allow the ride out.
I have been thinking of selling the oasis green bike and buying a triumph tiger for 2014 and trying to organise a ride up for then.
My funds won't stretch to anything newer than the early bike although I do like the look of the early ones.

the tank holds six and a half gallon and gives good range between fill ups.
The bike has a lovely looking relaxed riding position and with having neck trouble I think this would be more suitable for the long trip.
Has anyone had one of these bikes.
People who are selling them will always sing the bikes praises because they want to sell but I can't imagine there being any issues with these bikes.
