:smt005 Help people, point me in the direction of somebody or firm that can form plastic surgery on my knackerd right hand side fairing panels for my 750 VFR Did I come off I hear you say, NO, I had parked up outside a caff in the lakes on its side stand and then found the bike layed on it OFF SIDE on top of two bloody great boulders that the caff was using to way a cafe sign down, we can only assume a sudden strong gust of wind caught it or a waggon blasted by causing a down draught and my sodding great top box acted as a sail. Honestly I would have done less damage if I had dropped it going down the road. Oh am I pi**ed off. :smt011 :smt011 :smt011

Dream Machine did a FJ1200 for me years ago. Top job couldn't find the repaired parts from the outside and very neat in the inside too.

Fairing bodywork repairs

Further to my search for replacement/repair to my damaged fairing panels, after much scratting about I ended up getting some gouged panels from a bloke locally who had the same bike and had dropped his in a low speed spill on gravel and got new ones (rich git) and discovered a bloke in my own home town who did plastic welding and spraying, the job he did on the two panels of my VFR750 that is the upper and middle sections was bloody fantastic, he filled in the gouges of the replacement damaged panels and resprayed them and the finished job was superb and for the sum of £100, so that and the £120 for the panels total £220 was much more ideal than costing nigh on £450/500 for new? ones. I now have a thing about putting the bike on the CENTRE STAND :smt003

Yes of course they do. :smt019
It's just that it's a single arm and it's close to the centre, when pulled down.
It's especially useful as this enables it to fall over either way without too much help! :smt012 :smt010 :smt010 :smt012

Look in your local car spares place, and find a product by an american company called VersaChem, it's a two part plastic welding system. Vee out the crack drill small hole at eother end to stop it spreading and then squeeze out the equal amounts and mix apply to crack and repeat on inside, sand down smooth over will a little filler and paint. Around a fiver a tube, dead easy and a hell of a lot cheaper than the very similar Wurth system. I use it all the time, sets in around 15 mins depending on temp, and is fully cured in 1 hour. Wurth system comes with loads of refills and mixing tubes and appicator gun for around 200 quid. Bonds different types of hard plastics, unlike thermo welding rods, and can be moulded to make lugs etc.
