I've already started casually talking about a different bike come the winter when the hornets in bits. The wife has been sort of "relaxed" about it, but I have a hunch she will say something if I just arrived home with another bike.

I've had 2 rides today ones a 2006 1200GS with 8.5k on the clock and its still vibey (not run in) the other was a blackbird, 47k on the clock, a rather putrid shade of red and a small ding in 1 exhaust (fell against a fence post).

TBO the bird felt great, nice big lard arse seat that can't be improved IMO, sounded absolutely fab even though it was equipped with the Singer sewing exhausts. Damn, Jorge where are you when we need you!
It has had the same owner since it was new (2005) 3.5grand non negotiable. MMMMMMmm what can i do hahaha

Naah. Measure the outlets, chuck a set of Renegades on them. Falco or RSV twin pipes will fit with mods to the link pipes to fit the bird, and a bit of fettling to the air filter, etc. Linkpipes are relatively easy for a company to produce locally, you just need a few diameters, sizes and angles / lengths measured up with the pipes in place to figure where the linkpipes will fit.

:smt002 You spent enough time at Rene to know your stuff by now Pietro!

Riding the Blackbird is like riding a giant electric cruise missile. Big and bulky feeling, but by holy feck does it go when you twist the throttle!!
