Well Insurance time again.

Reminder from MCE .... just a letter telling me to call them on an 0844 number (expensive).
When you get through they INSIST on going through all your details again by asking you all the same questions you've been asked before.
Well other than wasting my time, I won on that one by checking the "say no to 0870" website and finding a freephone number that worked.

At the end of the day they wanted £214 for the year but had hiked the excess to £650.

One thing that others might find useful is they do include Trackday cover .... but your excess for that was 50% of the value of the bike (or was it 50% of the claim) with a max of £1000 .... though didn't pay much attention to that.

Anyway, thought that was a ridiculous excess so tried Buckingham Insurance as recommended by Jay.

I was quoted £170 with a £250 excess .... I declared all mods (well I really hope I have remembered them all - I sent a very comprehensive list) and after they checked with the end insurer, they were happy to include them at no extra cost.

I'm very happy. All I have to do now is send them proof of my 9yrs NCD.

Many thanks for the pointer Jay.

Thanks for the update Andy, it has made me read this thread. I got a phone call from MCE saying my insurance is up for renewal just this morning.

I'll have to give this Buckingham a try! Thanks for the hint.

Don't ask how but

Bennetts

120 quid all in

With everything declared

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

My green flag sponsorship has now been compromised

Am rather amused the new official sponsor called me for the number....
