I guess having three wheels overcomes the instability of something like a quad bike, yet is presumably more stable than a normal two wheeler when cornering. It should also provide far greater stopping power.
I like it.

Ho is it more stable in a bend, its still only got 2 wheels on the ground?

I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"

Depends on how you ride
Normally, all three remain in contact with the ground, from looking at the publicity pics.

Yeah; All three stay put under normal riding conditions thanks to some clever suspension at the front. Watch the vids Gio; It shows em in motion!

Two is the magic number... ;)

Well .... I think I may have just stumbled onto something that suggests the Piagio MP3 started life as an Aprilia prototype in 2001 called the "Los Angeles"
Take a look in Aprilia's on-line museum. Find the 3rd row from the front .... locate the Falco (yes YD - it's a yellow one) and then move left past the wonderful Blue Marlin and the Falco-based Hurricane prototypes .... and there it is - the Los Angeles:
Aprilia Museum
Also, here is a link to a translated page of an Italian website featuring the Los Angeles:
Aprilia Los Angeles
{You're going to love the translation - containing such gems as
"three always berthed wheels to the land, with dowries of exceptional stabilities in all the conditions."}
You may also note that the the Aprilia Museum also shows the prototype of the Mana (second row from the front - far Right hand side)

Talking about 3 wheelers, try this one -
http://spyder.brp.com/en-CA/
It takes a while to fully open up.
Made by Bombardier in Canada, who also make quads and snowmobiles.
You may have seen this in MCN, it's got an RSV engine, retuned to Falco spec. So now we have a 3 wheeler Falco, would love a play on this one.

Worryingly I was thinking about these the other day. The kids keep ribbing my mother-in-law that she'll need one soon .... but it wasn't for her I was thinking ....
Let's face it, one day we'll all need them BUT I don't want one like those ... we need to invent the Performance Mobility Scooter for aged bikers.
Maybe incorporate the MP3's leaning feature along with some pokey little motor - maybe a mini hybrid - electric in the town and the combined electric/petrol motors kicking in for the trip back home after visiting your mates at the old folks home ....
Think about it .... old age may not be so bad .... we could even start a race series.
