Oh and 98dB is the limit for things like Donnington or Brands 'Quiet' days. It is lower on the road.. unless you ride a really old bike..

I've never managed under 100 yet when Ive been tested with race cans, but if the cans been repacked most twins seem to register about the 100 - 102 mark.

One word of warning though - my bike registers higher on track days than on race days - the track day testing doesn't tend to strictly follow the ACU proceedure about revs and distance (they dont have to - it doesnt apply - and its their track so they can do what they want) and tend to register higher.

My straight through wolf cans came in at about 97db @ 5000rpm at Cadwell earlier this year, well under their 105db limit and I always thought they were very loud. Full throttle would have been a lot louder obviously, but they were only testing the big twins at 5k.
