ZZR Reviews
Hi! all,
I currently own an Aprilia Falco. Previous bike was a Honda Blackbird.
I am considering buying either a ZZR1100 or ZZR1200.
Would be grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction for any available reviews.
Am really interested in any inherant problems to look for in a used bike. Do they have a history of any faults etc?
Also interested in the main differences in the 1100 to the 1200 apart from the obvious increase in engine size.
Hope someone can help.
Ade

I remember a Fast Bikes review of the ZZR1100 from _way_ back when.
They said that once it was derestricted (removing some rubber things from the air inlets) it was like riding a giant catapult. Once it got wound up, the horizon would hurl itself towards you at a huge rate of knots.
If I remember correctly, the 'C' models had a few issues but the 'D' models and later resolved them all.

It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

ZZR 1200
Hi! again and thanks for the info.
as I said in my last post, I am thinking of buying a ZZR1200 but not too sure about the seat height. The specs seem to vary, depending on where you look. I was hoping that there might be a ZZR owner out there similar to me. Short!
I am only 5' 7" with quite short legs. I had to have my Blackbird seat cut down a bit, but my current Aprilia Falco is just about right as it is.
I would be grateful for any info from any of my vertically challenged comrades out there.
Thanks
Ade

Found a site (zzr international) where it says the seat heighht is 780mm.
And from the UBG site......
ZZ-R1100
and
ZZ-R1200
But ther'e really no substitute for getting your leg over one cos the width and CogG make a difference as well.

The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.
