2009 Meet up

Hi All, with all the new Falconeers on the site recently from this area, isn't it time we had a meeting somewhere?
I was talking to Fasasfcuk (Ian) before his tragic news about arranging a meet on the 19th April at Squires Cafe at Sherburn in Elmet.
Don't know if Ian will be back on the bike by then, but it would be nice to see him out and about if he feels up to it.
Still thinking about you Ian, hope you are all OK.
Is this a good weekend and place or has anyone got any other ideas, please feel free to suggest, but i'm at work every other Sunday.
The Barge at Newark was a good meet last time, maybe that would be an idea.

Sounds a good idea to me.
Not sure yet whether I can make it - but think I'll try.
I believe the 19th April is the Sunday after Easter
Personally speaking, Newark would make it more likely for me - purely because it's nearer .... but nearer for some will be further for others ...

Here's a link to the pics from the last trip to Newark ..... takes me back - my Falco with twin pipes, red tail light lens, no Mille swinger and (horror of horrors) the blue spring shock (think it was when I bent my linkages for the ohlins and I had to go backto the old shock for a while)
If I remember, that US colour scheme Falco is Ians.

Whichever place we go, hope the weather is better than on that rideout ... or the one to Scotland ....

Can't we do both?
Or are you only allowed out once a year?
Look on this one as a warm-up event

Southern Falco meet is penciled in for the last weekend in March at the Museum of Army Flying, Middle Wallop, Hants, SO20 8DY.
Haven't decided on a Saturday or Sunday yet. Apparently there's a nice café there. Hopefully it won't lob it down with rain.

Shouldn't this be in the Apriliaridersite?

Sorry BG, everyone is welcome, not just Falco's.
The more the merrier ( but not if we're riding ).
You know what i mean.

I'll second that !!
As far as I am concerned, all our regular site members are welcome.

Sorry folks I wasn't being arsey - it's an old RS joke!
which goes 'shouldn't this be in Rideouts and events?' - but it was, so I had to suggest it should be elsewhere!
Where's the 'coat' smiley?

Same on every site; "Shouldn't this be in..." people get every where

. I stuck my meet in here as obviously some Falco types haven't seen all the meets already in the falco area (or maybe it's just falken

).

Can I come? 'Tis my nearly local cafe and there's a real nice twisty 'block' to go around for me to get there

Don't see why not, you do have a Japanese engine though, so may have to park a few meters down wind of the 'real' Italian bikes and possibly wear some kind of disguise
