Roll call for Norfolk 28th-31st Aug.

#1 Post by Samray » Mon Aug 18, 2008 7:40 pm

As detailed https://www.ridersite.com/viewtopic.php?t=3191

Need to get a fair idea of yays , nays and mebbes to organise the catering.

As far as I can see to date we have ....

Arriving Thursday
Sam
Gio
Arriving Friday

Kwackerz
Woody
Sheebe
Andy
snapdragon ?
BikerGran ?
Nightshade13

I was over there today and the barn hasn't been used since the last time we were there, except by the rats and owls.
Some of us will be there on the Thursday to tidy up a bit tho.
The wheelbarrow barbie is still there surprisingly.

Camping would be at a private (and remote)site with a tidy barn available with kitchen, shower and toilet and open area suitable for accommodation.
Breakfast and evening meals will be provided.
The riding probably wont be licence killing thrashes as much as exploring some favourite twisties.......but depends what`s requested, and the roads to and from Norfolk aren`t bad.
Lil thief and Travel Lodge are within 3 miles.(No excuses from non campers)

Well if the weathers crap I'll be on the trumpet as I'll forgo the pleasure of Snett if its wet (what a wuss, YES and I remember the last time I was on the Falco in the wet :smt012 )

I'm aiming at leaving here about 9'ish on the Thursday morning.

Sorry folks .... looking very unlikely now .....

Lot of things to do at home .... and the boiler just packed up too ... so another thing to look at!

To compound the problem, the "generator of the task list" has generated a particularly long (and growing) list for this week (my summer holiday :smt009 ) and is actively supervising (was expected to be in school preparing for the next term but the school is still full of builders).
What's more, I was caught deviating from the task list today .... not just deviating but working on the bike (high crime No1).

Would not be timely to ask for a weekend pass out.

If things change I might drop by .... but don't count on it.

Sorry.

A shame, looks like a few drop-outs but it usually happens and of course there is always a silver lining ..... more beer to be disposed of. :smt003
For anyone that gets the opportunity the Sat night barbie will be the time to catch us at base. :smt002

Still in line to be there Friday.

Which is quite good going for me!

I may break down en route though Sam, so just have that trailer to hand... :smt002 You know how reliable they are!
