Marches meet: 19th - 21st May 2017

Having spoken Martdude, it has been decided that a meet could go ahead on the proviso that it would follow the same format as the new mid year meet?
These meets do take their toll on the individual that runs and organises these events.
We have decided that if people would like to come along, and fend for themselves or assist in the catering and cleaning up /packing away this meet could go ahead.
The date we are looking at is the 19th to the 21st of may 2017.
What are peoples thoughts on this?
Would people be interested in this event?
We need to keep running these events to keep the RS community spirit alive.
Otherwise it would just be another forum.
Please add your comments below.
Martdude will be along shortly to add his comments on this idea.
Many thanks.
The campsite is here.

Nice one I know I am going away somewhere around that time but assuming it's all good date wise would be happy to do what I can to help even if I end up away on tge day itself
As you rightly say Jay the meets make a big difference make no bones about it

I'd love to be there, as I'd be in the campervan I can bring stuff if needed but personally, even if I'd still been on bike or trike I see no reason why people can't bring their own food and something to cook it on, booze, whatever - and of course there's the always the pub.
Much better if people bring their own as there's virtually no organising to be done and no-one gets stuck with collecting money and/or taking home stuff they didn't use but don't really want. And no-one gets stuck with doing all the cooking either!
There IS the BBQ that can be borrowed from the site if everyone wants to.
I'm in as long as it doesn't clash with the VWCC weekend, haven't got the date for it yet.

I think this year I will actually be about on those dates. Where is this one to be held?

I would be up for this, would be worth us approaching the pub to see what they might have to offer (otherwise it's an early morning cereal bar followed by a fry-up after a short ride-out). We have been rather spoiled by Mart and Jay's hospitality at the last few meets, I'm sure we can come up with a more self-sufficient plan

Think I should be ok for this one next year. Camping and self catering/pub is fine.
We have been spoiled in the past.

Have to see nearer the time .... one of my nieces is getting married a few days later - have to see what's expected of me that weekend.

Should only be a turn up on the day, if my sister expected me to do anything for her kids wedding I'd tell her to take a hike.
