Mid year meet 2017 23rd june

#1 Post by blinkey501 » Sat Aug 20, 2016 6:46 pm

Right folks.

This meet will be the same venue. http://www.trentfield.co.uk/

If you have missed the other thread because you don't come on Ridersite very often there are some changes to this meet.

I am happy to take breakfast ie bacon and eggs etc and beer to the venue but I won't be doing any cooking apart from my own.

These events in their previous format are too much for myself to run.

I hope this won't put anyone off from coming.

I will pick up Menu's for local delivery of food for Saturday night, but the usual pub trip on Friday night is on the cards.

I will take the fire pit for the cool evenings. Thanks.

Right folks.
There is a new system in place.
I can't book for anybody but myself unless there is deposits paid up front.
Prices have risen to £18.00 per tent.
This is for two adults sharing.
Individual persons will have to pay the same price.
I am not really happy with this.
Also there is new wardens and the booking for this year has been misplaced.
I am very tempted to cancel this meet and try and arrange another somewhere else later in the year at a cheaper rate.
I want people's inputs on this.
Thank you.

Hi Jay. I had hoped to come this year but wasn't certain as my brother in law has recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer, so my wife is heading down under around that time to say goodbye (leaving me with the kids). So something later in the year would hopefully suit me better.

Hi Phil.
That is a shame mate.
We are also talking about a third possible meet later this year, but unsure of the destination as yet. I will pm you.
Because of what is happening at trentfield, again I have contacted one of the key members on planning these events.
A discussion has been made, and we are still planning this same date.
We have regulars that attend these meets and want their input, and we are trying to arrange another place for this to happen.

Can I also wish you and your family well in this sad time.
I hope your wife finds strength at such a hard time.
Best wishes to you all. :smt058

Hi Jay. I was planning to be there on Saturday and Sunday. £18 per night is quite an increase but its a good site with good facilities. Im happy to still go ahead..
From your perspective please remember we all agreed to self catering so dont be roping all your family in to provide breakfast etc.

Prices are.

£15.00 for one person with a bike.
Caravan with electric hook up £21.00
I will need deposits in for the site for booking?
Please give feedback and numbers who want to come thanks.

Hope you have a great time, I can't come again as usual, we are babysitting this weekend.
I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"

Unfortunately, I'm away camping that weekend in a very non-bike related setup. I hope this meet goes ahead as it's been a great meet with a great ride out, shame the site is changing the goalposts.
