Late Shout Out - Sunday....

#1 Post by DavShill » Fri Apr 08, 2016 8:31 am

Appreciate it's short notice but does anyone fancy kicking the season off with a ride out And meet up at the Barge at Newark on Sunday?

Weather forecast looks fine and dry.

Would be nice .... but since changing my fuel hoses I can't persuade the bike to run.

Not really had time to investigate as my Mum is in hospital and evenings are spent visiting .... as I expect will be the case on Sunday.

Have a good time.

Sorry to hear that Andy. I can sympathise so much about hospital visiting and the draw on your time. Hope all else is ok.

Something on my rear end has started creaking. And by rear end I mean the bikes rear end, not my rear end....

Either suspension dog bone rollers or swingarm bearings.

If I can get it stripped, fixed, and back together over the weekend, I will see you at the barge!

Some of the wife's family are going to be visiting, picking up from the airport today, so I doubt I'm going to make the Barge.
Don't put off 'till tomorrow what you can enjoy today

Don't think so, I only got the Falco MOTd today and I really should go and get a new helmet tomorrow before I do any distance. The one I've got is even older and more beat up than the one I had pinched. It smells awful and bits of it are held on by sticky tape.
Where ever I lay my hat.....

I will check on here again in the morning to see if there are any takers, otherwise I will head into North Yorkshire rather than Lincs.

Looks like I'm not gonna make it.

Cannot remove the dogbone from the frame - the bolt will not budge.

It was sallys birthday yesterday mate, and my mum has had the kids.

We didn't get in until midnight and we were full of beer, riding big bikes is not a good idea.

Post a meet up at the barge for a couple of weeks time so people have time to fettle their bikes?

Bring your bike down with the bearings and pins Dale.

I have something that will get the shock out.

Cheers Jay., but the shock and swingarm are already out, just the last bolt from the frame to the dogbone to go. It's been soaking in gt85 all night, hopefully it will budge this morning!
