Probable will need reminding I don't do sex or money very well even if mornings are involved or did I misunderstood that? ;)
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

This event may be cancelled due to high volumes of police activity around that area.
The police have been pulling anything on two wheels with an engine and issuing on the spot fines.
Some have had fines up to 200 quid for not having stamped exhausts and cut down number plates.
The information I was reading, is that the police are looking for anything to give a fine.
I have posted up on fb and asked the other groups if they still want this event to take place?
Your thoughts?

I'll be honest - arranging a meet for places where loads of bikers hang out is always liable to attract the wrong sort of attention (i.e. Police and knobheads). Both Matlock Bath and the Buxton-Macc road are like a magnet for Police; they always want the easy pickings so that's where they head.
Far better to leave them to it and ride the road(s) less travelled...

And, Matlock seems to have become one of those places riders visit in order to be noticed by other riders.mangocrazy wrote:I'll be honest - arranging a meet for places where loads of bikers hang out is always liable to attract the wrong sort of attention (i.e. Police and knobheads). If they give you a ticket for a non stamped can, take their badge number and tell them to sod off.
Exhausts don't have to be stamped since they changed the law back in 2006 (due to the use of removable DB killers). Tell them to come back with a DB meter and try again. As for the plates we all know it's wrong and some of us take the chance (me included), just ride faster past them, if it's that small they won't get your reg number hahahaha
