Looks like it could become the biggest gathering of the clan for a long time. :smt001

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

What to bring

#63 Post by falco_phil » Mon Jun 15, 2015 6:43 pm

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere, but are thee details of what we need to bring / what we can leave behind? What's bring-your-own and what's communal? Cooking gear? Food / drink (tea, coffee, hot chocolate, beer, cider, whisky) etc? Is there an itinerary / plan of activities for the weekend? Some of us haven't been before...

Looking forward to it!

You will need your sleeping arrangements, ie tent sleeping bag and pillow. Oh and a chair

Showering gear so you can brush up.

And your puck so your bike doesn't fall over.

Finally some cash for the camping and towards the food and beer. :smt002

Friday will be some sort of stew for tea and loads of beer available..

Saturday morning fry up.

Saturday will be a ride out, But this is not mandatory, the weekend is yours to do what you like. There is no pressure.

Saturday late afternoon the BBQ will be on the go. Beer , wine, whiskey etc.

Sunday morning Fry up.

Pack up. and away you go :smt004

The Aprilia's that turned up last year

We''re hoping to stay over Friday night, so will be travelling in the van along with camping gear etc. Don't worry - the bike will be in the van as well... :smt003

Do you need us to bring any food or other comestibles? I'll be bringing a nice bottle of red or two with me...

Unfortunately we'll have to leave mid-late afternoon on Saturday as I'm currently down to work on Saturday night... :smt022

If on the Cafe Racer I'll be travelling lite, any chance of making sure there is an extra comfy grand dad's chair spare?

Where is it?

I've searched, but every thread seems to say "same venue as last year" :smt017

Awesome. As it's 10 minutes on the bike from me it would be cheeky not to!

I'll pop in on Friday after work and then on Saturday morning then for the ride out!

Keef

Perhaps instead of a chair you could take one of those zimmers that has a seat?

If you don't have one, am certain D-Riders could loan you one of his?

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Sorry - I haven't been able to get one of those. I understand that they are reserved for those old crocks that need to fit high-rise bars or put their clipons above the top yoke.

Just to keep you up to date Jay, I'm still a maybe. I have got a hotel room sorted but I still might not make it. Everything was looking good but yesterday I installed 3 steel posts and 2 large steel beams and today found out that the ground workers had not put any loading points under the block and beam floor. Tomorrow I'm having to lift it all out again so they can get it sorted but as such it might cost me a weekend so that the delay doesn't fuck everything else up down the line.

Lol Andy

I suppose it's too much to expect you to use your bus pass to pop by for a day visit?

Or are you at that half price oap tea dance again?
