I dropped some of the gear off at the campsite this evening, & found that the road from Craven Arms to Clun is closed about halfway between the two, with a diversion.
The diversion, takes you off the B 4368 on to the B4385, to the outskirts of Bishops Castle, via Lydbury North. It's well-signed, although the signs are quite widely separated.

If you are coming down the A 49, it would be easier to turn off on to the A489, to Bishops Castle, about 1 1/2 miles north of Craven Arms.

For those coming from the south, it would probably be easier to either take the A4110 from Leominster, then the A4113 to Knighton, then the A488 to Clun; brings you in to Clun by the bridge, where you'll turn left to Newcastle.

Or, take the A4113 to Knighton, from the A49 at Bromfield, a few miles north of Ludlow.

Having not bothered to look at the site for any last minute updates can I just say that the local cattle tracks are really not that well maintained.
Also when they say closed they really mean gone. Like not there any more.

Bears, foxes and chickens. They're were a load of sheeps running about in the road near Craven Arms. Did nothing for me at all.
