Mid year meet (28/29 June, 2013)

Having talked to one of our admins at the norfolk meet it became quite apparent that some of our members from the northern area of the country might find the norfolk and shropshire meet out of range for a weekend ridersite get togeather.
A further discussion has taken place and i have gone that bit further and made inquirys to find a camp site with shower and toilets which will fullfill our needs.
I have talked to the site and negotiated a price of £10 per night per man/woman and bike with tent for each evening the sites pricess would normally be £12
And couples sharing £16 per tent per evening.
For those who have not been on a ridersite meet before beer will be supplied on both days and the cost of the beer will be shared evenly, but friday evening you will have to fend for yourself.
There is a pub a five minute walk fom the site that serves food
Breakfasts on both days and a BBQ will be done for saturday evening and same again costs will be the same.
Don't let this put you off it won't be expensive
There will be a ride out saturday afternoon into lincolnshire perhaps to the famous willingham woods....
The issue that i can only see but may only be a problem to a few is the date.
With the shropshire meet in may and norfolk meet in september and having to miss the school holidays for camp site availability, we have dicussed that the end of june would be best.
Has a say it may be a problem to a few with the VMCC being one/two weeks later for which i apologise for the inconvienience.
The destination for the meet is near retford at a place called church laneham which is a lovely campsite which backs on to the river trent.
Any one travelling from north and south can use the A1 and exit at markham moor services near Retford and be at the site easily within ten minutes.....
This is only an idea has i would like to find what peoples thoughts are on this prior to booking.....
