Probably the best place to post this!

20th September 2012 Sam's final rideout. An open invite to RSers past and present

Sam will be travelling from The Common, Fritton (NR15 2QS) in the Hearse with family and friends following to Earlham Crematorium, Norwich (NR2 3RG) travelling via the A140 so he gets one final blast past Seastar Superbikes and the Dun Cow..

We will be setting off at 2.10pm to arrive at the crematorium for 3pm

Mum has said she would love for some friends from the Site to be there on bikes if people would like to as, well, it was a huge part of his life. (Loud pipes are more than welcome :smt002 ) Please don't think you have to attend! Don't feel bad if you can't

The service will be a very simple affair, Sam hated fuss but loved his family and friends, so family and friends will there to see him off on his way.. no pomp, circumstance, bling or bullshit, just a nice farewell from us to him.

Afterwards it will be a family meet at home, but if there's only a few people 'extra', then they are invited too, but Mum can't cope with too many. I'm sure people can appreciate that, she's not in the best of health herself. Nowt special, a few sarnies a cuppa and a chinwag.

There will be a family wreath (well, a cross) but other than that it's a case of no flowers, please donate to a charity of your own choice.

If people would like to attend, then please do let me know. Anyone is welcome at the service, the more the merrier, but afterwards is a little tight on places :smt002

I would love to come and pay my respects, but location and work prevents me - I will have a few momens of silent reflection at the time though.

I would love to have been there but the distance is just too much to do again so soon - I know Sam would be happier that I was at the N-A-W weekend if there had to be a choice!

Will be there in spirit though.

Thanks very much :smt001 Should be a good send off, nowt spectacular but a suitably good day.

Went and visited him today, just updated him on whats been going on and talk shit for half an hour or so (easier to talk to a face than a cloud..)

He really did look so content, like he'd achieved something, which he certainly did. Proper at ease.

If however it's a contented look of being sat with Sheene having a few beers before a rideout (they can do that up there) then I wont be impressed. The old sod.

I did'nt know sam other than just looking at a computer screen and i feel very sad that i did'nt meet the man... My loss :smt012
I am sure everything will be fine tomorrow tim and he gets the celebration of life he deserves, he certainly was a methylated spirit :smt002
And i am sure he will be looking down and be very pleased with what he has achieved in life.
I will give thought tomorrow and raise a drink although it will be coffee :smt023
Heres to sam and may he rest in peace :smt059

Methylated? He'd wash your mouth out - he was JD all the way through!

Will be thinking of you all tomorrow!

Are you chuckling Sam, at the thought of leaving me as the oldest inhabitant? :smt006
