Just had a fantastic weekend. Met some of the forum members I have not met before.
Nice to meet Paddy and his lovely wife, and also Robbie r.
A very fun chilled weekend with some track time and some nice weather to make the rubber stick.
Thanks all that turned up to make it very memorable.
Keith the morning after 10 pints.

Due to the drop in trade for future events, Mallory local taxi firm has bought bigger taxi's for more revenue and less mileage to save money.

Some of the machines on show...

Some porn for martdude willapotomous, and hisnibs

Tolerance will be our undoing.
Was fun even though I was lead astray on the Friday night. I know it was hot but Five before you go out to have a drink is a bit much.... That's what I call race , I mean PARADE preparation. Pete still smiling even on Sunday morning after doing the legless shuffle all the way back to camp.
And Jay we hope you are allowed out to play next year as you forgot to cut the grass.

Don't put off 'till tomorrow what you can enjoy today

I only managed to do the Saturday but it was good
My son Daniel rode in with me.
Although it can be difficult to tell them apart, having seen them side by side I can report that Pete is the lippy chap always prepared to apply a poultice or an enema and Foggy is from further up north and can actually ride a bike.
Jay's Falco was set in touring trim for his laps of the track - complete with Givi rack and pannier frames.
They had to pull a fast one to save him from going out with the quick guys by combining his session with another and not actually telling him.
It seemed he would be going out with the mopeds and scooters but we caught a tannoy announcement that we at first thought was saying it would be a session for Class C machines.
However, it didn't take long to realise that following his performance last year, it was a session for Cat-C machines and those those that were expected to become so before the end of the session.
The anticipated ploughing of the run off areas was averted when we saw him "touring" (complete with rack and pannier frames) with his hand up having broken down.
Repairs carried out, he was back out in the next session (and really did very well)
True to form, Keith set about humbling everyone else on track - which was very nice to see. When I say "everyone" that's not strictly true as he was well and truly tonked by another rider. Keith hadn't twigged that this other rider was actually a certain Mr Wayne Gardner ..........
Paddy was out there too having much fun but his Falco was clearly not running right.
The bikes on display were great and we also had a good time listening to Messrs Gardiner, Sarron, Hodgson and Whitham recounting tales of their racing days and the current state of racing. Fogarty was with them too ....
It was good to catch up again with Hanna - and be amazed at just how much James has grown up. Good to see Davina again too.
Sorry I missed you Robbier
..... and the weather ...... fantastic.

awesome meet
and can i just say it always is - because we were with friends..... both Hanna and myself enjoy the meeting up with folk as much as the event
(And james.... 26 months old and that was his third 1000 bikes!)
and foggy was in attendance - and for those who have not had the pleasure of meeting the gentleman, he will very quickly correct your pronounciation of his last name - apparently it is pronounced as TWAT
for assorted reasons, we were actively chasing signatures this weekend - we made a point of not getting his....
Jay did do very well on his last session - once the trail blazer had overtaken him, he had a line to follow
Keith was - as always - very fast... i did try to help folk out by handicapping him with a hang over but...

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Foggy - my niece who knows nothing about bike racing but looks gorgeous, was doing interviews at the Festival of Speed one year - musty have been the year he took the title again - afterwards she said to me "If he's such a fantastic racer and wins everything, why is he so miserable? "
I mean, would you be miserable if you were chatted up by my niece?
(married men need not answer)

The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.
