I know how to save a pic off the internet, been doing it for years, right click and 'save as'

It still works on FB and other places - but not on Ebay. I thought maybe Ebay had stopped people saving the pics till I found that others can still do it.

When I right click a pic on Ebay the options I get are

Copy
Select all
View selection source
Inspect element (Q)

Firefox 12.0 and Win XP Home SP3

I haven't been able to do it for some time - think ebay have prevented copying pics

But I know that others can still do it!

I can copy pics posted in the description as per normal (Firefox) but cant from the item pic top left hand.


I think a combination of upgraded browsers and upgraded policies on the site are what hamper the old school right click and save as..

You could revert to the long-winded screen shot way of doing it. A bit of faffing around, but you'll soon get the hang of it.

Let's you look at the page source code. Not much use to you, unless you can read the particular programming language the site is written in.

Anyway you can always try alt or screen ro capture just the active window.

Yup, thatd be the quickest get-around. Ctrl + Print Screen, paste into paint, select the bit of the screen shot, as in the pic you want to keep.
